![]() Each Pokemon has a random happiness value between 1 and 255, this value determines how powerful the attack Frustration (the lower the happiness, the stronger the attack) and Return (the higher the happiness the stronger the attack). The following Pokemon listed below only evolve once their Happiness value has reached over 220, the Pokemon then must grow one level for the evolution to take place. ![]() Golbat to Crobat ![]() Chansey to Blissy ![]() Eevee to Espeon (Evolve during the day) ![]() Eevee to Umbreon (Evolve at night) ![]() Pichu to Pikachu ![]() Claffa to Clefairy ![]() Igglybuff to Jigglypuff ![]() Togepi to Togetic ![]() Azurill to Marill ![]() Budew to Roselia ![]() Buneary to Lopunny ![]() Chingling to Chimecho (Evolve at night) ![]() Munchlax to Snorlax ![]() Riolu to Lucario (Evolve during the day) To find out if a Pokemon is close to/fully maxed in Happiness, use the Poketch application #6 given to you by the women in the Eterna City Pokemon Center. This application displays hearts above a Pokemon when you press down on them if they are happy. If two large hearts appear above the Pokemon you are pressing down then they are happy enough to evolve. To raise the happiness of a Pokemon you’ll need to use one of the following options... - Catch a Pokemon in a Luxury Ball, this doubles the happiness points your Pokemon will get from walking and battles. - Soothe Bell doubles the rate of happiness gained when your Pokemon is holding it. - For each 256 steps you take your Pokemon will gain 1 happiness value. - Vitamins increase your happiness depending on how many points they already have. If your Pokemon has between 0 and 99 points they will be awarded 5 happiness points, 100-199 gives you 2 points and 200-254 will gives you 1 point. - Leveling up your Pokemon in a battle gives your Pokemon 5 points when their happiness is between 0 and 99, 3 when it is between 100-199 and 2 when between 200-254. - Taking your Pokemon to get massages. Note that trading a Pokemon will reset the happiness to zero so be careful, also putting a Pokemon in your PC has NO effect on their happiness, this is a rumor which can confuse people but I assure you it has been proven false. |
